Introduction

Once you have logged in to ELITE, you will be directed to the "My ELITE" screen. This is your personal ELITE home screen and looks something like this:

You will see three "panels" entitled, My Announcements, My Courses and My Organisations.

• My Announcements will show system wide announcements such as planned downtime or important reminders about access. It will also show any announcements made by your tutors to your workshop group.
• My Courses shows all the courses on which you are enrolled. For example, if you are an LPC student, you will initially see two courses, your accepted student course and your compulsory term workshop group course. You should click on the name of the course in order to enter it.
• My Organisations shows other groups you belong to within the College. Generally we set up organisations on a course and branch basis, so you are likely to see organisations such as All GDL Students and All Birmingham GDL Students. These organisations are used to make announcements relevant to each group. Again, click on the name of the organisation in order to enter it.
